How is FLiC structured?
FLiC starts with two directors, both juniors, who were on staff the previous year. There are eighteen awesome staffers who were likely freshmen in FLiC the previous year. The staff is broken up into two different areas in FLiC: Servant Staff and Committee Leaders. There are six people on servant staff, which are further broken down into three positions - Discipleship, Prayer, and Worship/Secretary. Each position is run by a partnership (one guy and one girl).
The twelve remaining staffers are committee leaders, and they are also put into partnerships. Each partnership runs one of the six committees - Big Project, Events and Outreach, Fundraising, Kids, Off Campus, and On Campus. Each committee has 10 freshmen, and they serve others through that particular committee's vision.
What's the application process like?
Everyone who applies receives an interview. Once the interview process is complete, all who applied are narrowed down to 60 freshmen, which is the final number in FLiC. There is no checklist, or perfect application for FLiC, as we are guided in our decisions through plenty of prayer and seeking after the will of God.
Can I be in other organizations as well?
FLiC does not limit the organizations frfeshmen apply for or choose, for instance, you can be in Greek life and still do FLiC, or any other organization. The application process begins after the MSC open house, which is the first Sunday after school has started.
