FLiC has six committees, each with an awesome and exciting area of ministry. They're made up of two committee leaders on staff (one guy and one girl) and ten freshmen (five guys and five girls). Together each committee plans service projects or events. The six committees are:
- BIG Project - plans one large service project each semester for all eighty members of FLiC
- Events and Outreach - plans social activities to unite FLiC and reach out to others
- Fundraising - organizes events and fundraisers to help provide the funds (and the fun) to make all of our service possible
- Kid's Committee - serves children, especially those in Bryan through Pioneer's Kid's Church
- OFF Campus - serves those off campus. Are everyday people off campus? Yes. Are the homeless off campus? Yes. Is Amy Winehouse off campus? Yes. Are all of these people eligible for service from the off campus committee? YES! ... the sky is the limit here
- ON Campus - serves the student body, faculty, other organizations and individuals on campus
What's so exciting about committees is that while there is a focus committee members are given, there are no set projects or events for the freshmen to complete. Class of 2013, you and your other committe members get to discern where God is leading and how He wants you to serve. Staff is here to encourage, equip, and enable you to pursue your passions in service, but you plan who we serve and how we serve.
